Internships
Gain professional experience and leadership skills at a nonprofit organization that provides services, resources, and programming to LGBTQ+ youth!
Peer Interns (18-25 years old) are paid young people who support BAGLY's essential work, build community as peer representatives of BAGLY, and gain workforce readiness skills.
What We Offer:
A paid internship ($20 per hour for part-time work, from approximately September 2026 to July 2027);
Professional experience in a nonprofit organization;
Training in leadership, outreach, and other professional skills;
Opportunities to build connections with other LGBTQ+ youth, supportive adults, and organizations in Boston and Massachusetts;
Access to all of BAGLY’s free programs and services, including our drop-in space.
Youth Leadership & Advocacy Peer Intern
(5-8 hours/week)
The Youth Leadership & Advocacy (YLA) Peer Internship is a paid opportunity to be BAGLY's Youth Leadership & Advocacy Team. You will work with the YLA Team to organize for advocacy issues that impact LGBTQ+ youth, provide peer-to-peer education and leadership training to other LGBTQ+ young people, work with community partners, and host workshops and events about social change at BAGLY’s drop-in center.

Outreach Specialist Peer Intern
(5-7 hours/week)
The Outreach Specialist supports the entire organization in creating and implementing fun, creative, and impactful outreach strategies in service of BAGLY’s mission to support LGBTQ+ youth in Massachusetts. This role will raise awareness of (and increase participation in) BAGLY’s programming and services and to assist in increasing BAGLY’s capacity to engage with the community.

Health Education & Risk Reduction Team (HEARRT) Peer Intern
(6-8 hours/week)
Health Education & Risk Reduction Team (HEARRT) Peer Internships are paid opportunities to be on BAGLY’s Health & Wellness Team. HEARRT focuses on sexual health and peer risk reduction education and support. HEARRT Peer Interns help to support the Clinic@BAGLY and should be comfortable with low stigma conversations around sexual health, drug use, and health education.

Community Center Peer Intern
The Community Center Peer Intern works with the Community Center Team to provide LGBTQ+ young people with access to the tools needed to live a successful and autonomous life through holistic programming that addresses the challenges they may be facing.

Content Creator Peer Intern
Content Creators support BAGLY in creating fun, creative and impactful content for BAGLY’s social media platforms. Content Creators will raise awareness and participation in BAGLY’s programs and services through the creation of both educational and entertaining content.

Event Planner Peer Intern
The Event Planning Peer Internship is a paid opportunity to be on BAGLY’s Community Center (CC) Team. You will work with the CC team to provide LGBTQ+ young people with access to thoughtful and exciting social events that aim to build community, strengthen engagement, and bring joy.
