Piero Goytizolo (he/him)

Mental Wellness Counselor

Piero Goytizolo (he/him), LICSW, is a Peruvian-born, pizza-loving, queer man who works part-time as a mental health therapist at BAGLY, inc.

Although Piero’s family pressured him to become a doctor, lawyer, or engineer, Piero decided to pursue his passion by getting a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Talking with people, deeply listening to them, and helping them in whatever way he could always made sense to Piero, which made him get a Masters in Social Work in order to become a therapist.

Piero has been working with the LGBTQ+ community for over 4 years across many settings, which includes in-home family therapy, outpatient programs, partial programs, residential units, and inpatient units, where he really enjoyed getting to know people in meaningful ways across the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Outside of BAGLY, Piero works as a grief counselor and a couple’s therapist. Piero spends his time correcting people who try to call him “Pedro”, finding delicious food, watching Drag Race with friends, spending time in nature, playing Ultimate Frisbee, mixing music, learning about different cultures, and reading as many books as possible.
