Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth Holistically

The Stabilization & Success initiative provides young LGBTQ+ people with a foundation for security. This initiative creates and prioritizes a one to one, confidential, supportive environment for folks up to age 25 to focus on: 

  • Concerns related to housing resources

  • Educational support

  • Financial literacy

  • Assistance with applying for benefits (such as SNAP)

  • Employment opportunities

  • An opportunity to explore specific needs and services 

The Stabilization & Success initiative also provides monthly “Life Skills” sessions, run and facilitated by Peer Leaders. These meetings are open to folk up to age 22!

Join Our Monthly Life Skills Sessions!

We believe everyone is meant to flourish and thrive in their own way! That’s why we created Life Skills sessions–you will learn about being a good roommate, what to buy at the grocery store and how to cook it, how to file taxes for your job, and so much more! If it’s an area of life, it will be covered! 

Living Skills will meet both in person and online every second Wednesday of the month. 

EMERGENCY DIRECT AID FOR LGBTQ+ YOUTH

Times are tough, and we know that many LGBTQ+ youth are facing real and immediate hardships. The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth (BAGLY) is here to help. We distribute direct aid to LGBTQ+ youth ages 25 and under who are a member of the Massachusetts community on a first-come, first-serve basis. BAGLY BOUTIQUE!

We are excited to share that we have a clothing boutique on-site in BAGLY’s Community Center! The BAGLY Boutique is accessible Monday through Friday, during regular drop in hours. The Boutique is completely free for LGBTQ+ youth, and includes a variety of new, or gently-used clothing and shoes. Thanks to our awesome community members and donors, we are able to have a frequently rotating inventory, and a variety of inclusive sizing options. 

In addition to clothing and shoes, BAGLY is able to provide folks with sizing help for Gender Affirming wear. BAGLY understands that gender-affirming clothing is a critical part of being who you are, we are happy to work with you individually so that you can safely, and cheaply, access the clothing you need to be authentically YOU. 

BAGLY’S SUPPORTIVE SUPPLIES CLOSET!

In addition to the BAGLY Boutique, BAGLY also has our very own Supportive Supplies Closet! This space is accessible to all BAGLY youth. In the closet, folks can find bedding, blankets, a variety of household items, and a surplus of hygiene products. Young people are encouraged to take what they need from this closet, as often as they need.
