Ava (they/she)

AAPI MEETING FACILITATOR

Ava (aye-vuh) Sakamoto is currently a fourth year student at Tufts University, studying Community Health and Studio Art (concentration in printmaking) on the premed track. Having past experience in queer healthcare settings and AAPI youth leadership/advocacy, they are excited to come to BAGLY as the new AAPI Meeting Facilitator. They are hopeful to cultivate a welcoming meeting space for the Boston LGBTQ+ AAPI community, and continue encouraging meaningful personal and professional growth with queer youth.

Aside from being a student, Ava deeply enjoys the K-POP girl group LOONA and dancing with Tufts Spirit of the Creative.
